During the trailblazing period of the NAADS programme, two approaches to Enterprise Development have been used. These include:
a. Conventional/Farmer-driven approach: through a participatory process, farmers identify and prioritise enterprises for development and promotion using NAADS funds assigned to sub-counties. This approach is expected to cause incremental improvements in productivity and profitability of farmers through development of their capacity to manage enterprises and establish input and output market linkages.
