Rationale for Establishmentof the Centre

Although Uganda has in the recent years made significant strides in economic growth, two things are worth noting;

i. Agricultural transformation efforts are still slow and poverty and hunger persist
ii. Peoples mindset change is negligible if not static

With the current state of affairs as mentioned above, Uganda has realized the need to adopt and adapt the Korean model to its rural development effort. Korea’s own experience of training on mind set tells us that the training has produced examples of growth and development and improved the ability of executing thoughts into action as well as transferring positive energy which, general theoretical school education or job training failed to do. Therefore, mindset training derives from advantages of Korea’s human capital.
